Golf Holiday Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Cape Town International. Collect your rental car at Avis and drive to Erinvale Hotel and Spa, located in Somerset West, nr. Cape Town.

After checking in you can relax at the hotel or explore the surrounding area, famous for its world renowned wine farms and picturesque mountainous landscape.

Day 2

Tee off at Erinvale Golf Course after breakfast. Visit the Vergelegen Winery after golf. Vergelegen is located opposite Erinvale and is widely regarded at one of the best wine estates in South Africa. Afterwards you can return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 3

Meet your guide at reception after breakfast. Today you’ll embark on a full day wine tasting tour. The Cape Winelands are surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and fertile green valleys. The region has a Mediterranean climate and the winter rainfall of the south-western Cape helps producing some of the best wines in the world.

Towns and villages in the Cape Winelands have many historic homesteads, museums and monuments to discover. Visit famous wine estates such as Boschendal and La Motte before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4

Check out after breakfast and return your vehicle to Avis at Cape Town Aiport, where you’ll board your short domestic flight to George.

Upon arrival, you’ll collect your rental car at Avis and drive to Fancourt Golf Resort, home of the 2003 Presidents Cup. Check in and relax Fancourt.

Day 5

After breakfast you’ll be teeing off at Fancourt Outeniqua Golf Course. Designed by legendary Grand Slam golfer, Gary Player, it is similar in character to its sibling, the Montagu, and its challenging design and fine conditioning will ensure an excellent test for all levels of golfers.

Spend the rest of the day discovering the surrounding Garden Route attractions at your own pace.

Day 6

Play a round of golf at Fancourt Montagu after breakfast. The Montagu is a much celebrated parkland course and has been ranked as the number-one golf course in South Africa in the past. Spend the remainder of the day rejuvenating body and mind at the world renowned Fancourt Health Spa or so some sightseeing if you’re keen.

Day 7

Enjoy breakfast and a relaxing morning at the hotel before checking out. Return your vehicle to Avis at George Airport, where you’ll board the short flight back to Cape Town.

Collect your luggage at Cape Town Airport and head to the International Departures Terminal, where you can do some last minute duty free shopping before boarding your flight back home.
