Golf Holiday Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Cape Town International. After clearing passport control, you’ll head to Avis to collect your vehicle. Drive to the awe inspiring Cellars Hohenort Hotel, located in Constantia. Check in and spend the remainder of the day relaxing beside the pool or at the spa.
Day 2
Tee off at Steenberg Golf Course after breakfast. After golf you can explore the V&A Waterfront at your own pace and return to the hotel after dinner.
Day 3
Meet your guide at reception after breakfast. Today you’ll embark on a full day wine tasting tour. The Cape Winelands are surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and fertile green valleys. The region has a Mediterranean climate and the winter rainfall of the south-western Cape helps producing some of the best wines in the world. Towns and villages in the Cape Winelands have many historic homesteads, museums and monuments to discover. Visit famous wine estates such as Boschendal and La Motte before returning to the hotel.
Day 4
Tee off at Royal Cape Golf Course after breakfast. After golf you can visit some of Cape Town’s famous tourist attractions, such as Table Mountain, the penguins at Boulders Beach and the Castle of Good Hope. Return to the hotel before dinner.
Day 5
Check out after breakfast. Return your vehicle to Cape Town Airport, where you’ll be boarding your short flight to George.
Upon arrival at George Airport you’ll collect your hired vehicle and drive to Botlierskop Private Game Reserve. Check in and go on an afternoon ranger guided safari before dinner. All meals and safaris are included during your stay at Botlierskop.
Day 6
Full day safari. Botlierskop is a well stocked, free roaming private game reserve, which gives visitors the opportunity to view African wildlife from the safety of 4×4 vehicles, in its natural habitat. Rhino’s, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland, bontebuck and 26 more species, make up a total of more than 1800 animals.
Day 7
Check out and drive to Pinnacle Point Golf Resort. After checking in you can head for the driving range or top up your tan beside the pool. Dinner can be enjoyed at the Clubhouse Restaurant or at the Garden Route Casino located on the resort.
Day 8
Tee off at the legendary Pinnacle Point Golf Course after breakfast. The course is an immaculate eighteen hole championship golf course, co-designed by renowned golf architect Peter Matkovich and professional golfer Darren Clarke. Stretching along four kilometres of spectacular coastline, the course boasts dramatic cliff-side holes and over 1000 acres of unspoiled beachfront. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at Pinnacle Point.
Day 9
Check out after breakfast and drive to Fancourt Golf Resort, home of the 2003 Presidents Cup. Check in and spend the remainder of the day relaxing beside the pool or at the spa.
Day 10
After breakfast you’ll be teeing off at Fancourt Outeniqua Golf Course. Designed by legendary Grand Slam golfer, Gary Player, it is similar in character to its sibling, the Montagu, and its challenging design and fine conditioning will ensure an excellent test for all levels of golfers. Spend the rest of the day discovering Fancourt at your own pace. Half day tours to interesting locations around the Garden Route can be booked at Fancourt Reception.
Day 11
Play a round of golf at Fancourt Montagu after breakfast. The Montagu is a much celebrated parkland course and has been ranked as the number-one golf course in South Africa in the past. Spend the remainder of the day rejuvenating body and mind at the world renowned Fancourt Health Spa.
Day 12
Check out and drive to the luxurious Dwyka Tented Camp at Sanbona Private Game Reserve. Check in and freshen up before embarking on a sunset safari with one of Sanbona’s experienced game rangers. All meals, drinks and 2 ranger guided safaris per day are included in your stay at Sanbona.
Day 13
Full day safari at Sonbona. Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is home to the only free-range white lions in South Africa. The historic predator release means that for the first time in over 200 years, lion and cheetah can once again be seen in the Klein Karoo, making Sanbona the first private game reserve in the Western Cape to play host to free-roaming big cats.
Day 14
Enjoy a sunrise safari and breakfast before checking out. Return your vehicle to Avis at Cape Town International, where you can do some last minute duty free shopping before boarding your flight back home.
